More than 150 road and bridge contractors, affiliates and suppliers have discovered the benefits of membership in the Alabama Road Builders Association. ARBA is dedicated to serving the specific needs of businesses involved in Alabama’s transportation construction industry. Our organization serves contractors, suppliers, and other affiliated firms. ARBA is our industry’s voice for communicating with state leaders, regulatory agencies, citizen groups, and other audiences. ARBA takes an active role in the legislative process on behalf of our members, and we take specific positions on legislative bills which can impact our industry and the safety and reliability of Alabama’s roads and bridges. Annual Membership Rates
| Contractor | $1000 + percentage dues on ALDOT contracts | .25% x ALDOT contact amount up to $5,000. .05 % x ALDOT contact amount of $5,000.01 – $20,000. .02 % x ALDOT contact amount of $20,000.01 – $50,000. Maximum percentage dues by an annual Contractor is $26,000. |
| Aggregate Contractor | $1000 + aggregate tons sold by ARBA Aggregate members to or destined for ALDOT projects x $5.00. |
Fair Market Price per ton – Reevaluated on an Annual Basis by ARBA Members. Maximum percentage dues by an annual Aggregate Contractor is $26.000. |

An Associate member whose firm directly produces or sells any time used in the actual construction of a project or has a direct financial interest in the transportation industry and has sales in excess of $5 million directly related to ALDOT construction projects, pays an additional $600 towards their dues for $1,500 total in Associate dues. The additional dues level is paid by the Associate on the honor system. |

Contributions or gifts to the Alabama Road Builders Association are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, dues payments are deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary business expense. ARBA has elected to pay the lobbying tax obligation and, therefore, all dues payments made by a company are fully deductible as a business expense.
